At Grand Cane Baptist Church, located at 1008 5th Street in Grand Cane Louisiana, you will find Bible Study classes for all ages, children’s church, and a nursery with caring volunteers. Sunday activities include Sunday school at 10:00AM, worship and preaching at 11:00AM with children’s church meeting concurrently during preaching. Men’s breakfast and devotional meets the 2nd Sunday of every month 8:00AM to encourage fellowship and ministry projects among the men in our church. Wednesday activities include a home-cooked fellowship meal at 5:30PM and Bible study for all ages at 6:30PM. Wednesdays often include seasonal women’s Bible studies covering different areas of interest.
Our staff are committed to preaching relevant messages directly from God’s word. Our dedicated and talented praise band members lead vibrant worship every Sunday, combining new scripture-based songs with the classic hymns we’ve all grown to love. Throughout the year we host events to serve our community to meet people and help connect them with the love of Christ. We invite you to, “come and see”!
Eggstravaganza is a Spring community event that happens every year on the Saturday before Easter Sunday, featuring a telling of the true Easter story from the apostle Peter’s perspective, children’s Easter egg hunt, grilled hot dogs and snow cones, bounce house, games, and a visit from the Easter bunny for little ones.
Vacation Bible School happens at the beginning of summer, a nightly event for children 4yrs-6th grade to learn about Jesus, worship God, and make new friends.
Youth and Children’s Camp every summer provide a time for students to go deeper in discipleship with age-based Bible study groups, worship, and relevant preaching. Students are challenged to engage their world for Christ making a positive impact for the kingdom of God.
See You at the Pole rally occurs in September, drawing students together from numerous school campuses to encourage one another in their faith, worship God, and be challenged by a guest speaker.
Women of Heart Conference is an annual event to encourage and disciple women of every age. This event includes an evening meal, guest worship leader, guest speaker, creative crafts, and door prizes. Last year’s speaker was Rachel Ann Ridge, author of Flash: The Homeless Donkey Who Taught Me about Life, Faith, and Second Chances.
Prime Timers October Hayride and camp-fire is an event for our senior adult members to gather for fellowship, singing, and enjoy the Fall season.
Music University is a six-Sunday event beginning in October, inviting interested students and adults to learn keyboard, guitar, or percussion taught by one of our praise band leaders or by guest leaders with exceptional skill in their area. Students are invited to play the songs they have learned on a designated Sunday in December.
Trunk or Treat is a community and fun family event every October 31 featuring games, bounce house, hayride, grilled hot dogs, and great fellowship. Our Grand Cane church family always pulls together to make this a fun and enjoyable event where we can meet new people.
