Michael Scott - Lead pastor

My wife, Mai and I came to Grand Cane Baptist Church in January 2012. We've been married for 44 years and have two daughters, three grandchildren and five great grandchildren. We enjoy fishing and I can be talked into  an occasional round of golf.

Our greatest joy in the ministry is seeing people grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, getting connected to the work of the ministry and the mission of the church.   I feel our Lord's return for the church is near so we must "Be steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain. "

jamison may - co-pastor/worship leader

My wife Alix & I moved to Grand Cane in 2010 and were immediately drawn in by the love of the people at Grand Cane Baptist Church, a true faith-family exemplifying the Tribe of Jesus! We count it a joy & blessing to serve here with our other great staff members and leadership. We love all the latest Sci-fi TV & movies, especially anything involving time travel (shout-out to Dr. Who, Marty McFly, and Fringe fans!), reading books, and exploring book stores. My favorite moments are those at worship with the church and teaching/preaching the scriptures.

Galatians 3:20 moves me to personal growth in Christ and helping others toward spiritual formation, "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me."

Cory adcock - Associate pastor of student and family ministries

Hello everyone!  We are the Adcocks.  My name is Cory.  I am blessed to get to spend my life with my beautiful better half, Cara, and my little red-headed mini me, Cylas.  I have been involved in ministry for over 15 years.  Cara works as a Physical Therapist in Mansfield,  LA in addition to ministering with me.  We enjoy staying active and working out.  My wife likes to run (crazy, I know) and I like to play sports, especially golf.  Cylas likes anything with a motor and being a dog (all bark and no bite, thankfully).  Last year, we felt God moving our family from our hometown in Vivian to Shreveport.   So, after months of searching,  we bought a house and moved, not knowing what the future would hold.  But, God knew, and shortly after moving, He began opening doors that eventually brought us here to Grand Cane Baptist Church.  God has completely blown us away with the people that we get to work with and the ones whom we get to serve.  And that is our goal; to serve with the sole intent on making disciples who grow in Godly knowledge and maturity.  Our goal is to see people grow and thrive where God has planted them.  We intend, through God's grace and mercy, to do everything that we can to reach that goal.  We are very excited to serve here and we look forward to meeting all of you in the future.
